01 — How tracking works
Updated at every milestone.
Tracking on the SADC corridor isn't continuous live video — it's a chain of milestone events. Here's what triggers an update on your consignment.
/01 · Origin
Cargo received
Cargo accepted at the origin port or warehouse. Booking confirmed, documentation drafted, consignment number issued.
/02 · Customs
Cleared for transit
Customs entry processed at origin. Cargo released for transit and loaded onto the assigned mode of transport.
/03 · Corridor
In transit
Cargo on the road or on the water. GPS-tracked vehicles report position continuously; ocean freight reports milestone events.
/04 · Border
Border processed
Border post arrival, customs processing, and departure recorded. Each border crossing is a separate logged event.
02 — Status legend
What the statuses mean.
The events you'll see on a consignment timeline, and what they tell you about where your cargo is.
Done
A milestone that has been reached and recorded — the cargo has cleared this point in the journey.
Current
The active state of the consignment right now. The most recent milestone, with the next milestone in front.
Pending
A future milestone the cargo has not yet reached. ETAs shown for pending events are indicative.
Delivered
Final state. Cargo has reached destination, proof of delivery has been captured, and the file is closed.
03 — Questions
Tracking FAQ.
The questions we get most often about tracking. If yours isn't here, get in touch.
Road consignments update at every major milestone — origin pickup, customs clearance, border crossings, and final delivery. GPS data on our vehicles is continuous; what you see on the portal is the next milestone interpreted from that data. Ocean freight updates as carrier milestones are reported, which can be daily during sea transit.
Not necessarily. Tracking moves between milestone events, and on long road legs (or during weekends and public holidays at borders), there may be a stretch where the most recent milestone holds. If your ETA is at risk we'll contact you proactively. If you want a status check at any point, contact our operations desk and we'll pull the live position.
Yes. The tracking page accepts a consignment number directly via URL — for example track.html?ref=YOUR-NUMBER. You can share that link with anyone you want to give visibility to.
Contact us with your booking reference, your company name, and the approximate date of dispatch. We'll resend the consignment number directly.
Yes — for clients with high volume or contracted shipping, we configure milestone notifications by email or SMS as part of the onboarding. For ad-hoc consignments, we can flag specific milestones for proactive notification on request.
For clients with high consignment volumes, we offer programmatic access to tracking data so it can be consumed inside your own systems. Contact us with your expected volumes and we'll discuss integration options.
