About

Built for the corridor.

Veteran Resources is a Zambian freight forwarding and logistics operator. Officially established in 2025, drawing on more than a decade of corridor experience since 2014.

01 — Company

What we do.

We move cargo. End to end, port to door, across borders that most operators treat as obstacles. Freight forwarding, road transport, ocean freight and warehousing — under one operational roof.

Cargo doesn't wait for paperwork. Borders don't pause for delays. Our job is to move cargo — cleanly, accountably, and on the timeline that was promised.

/01
Corridor-native
Headquartered in Lusaka, the geographic centre of the SADC corridor. We don't operate the corridor remotely — we live in it.
/02
Multimodal by design
Road, ocean and warehousing under one operation — so cargo doesn't fall through gaps between providers.
/03
Documented
Cross-border freight succeeds or fails on paperwork. Every consignment is documented, tracked, and cleared with the rigour the trade demands.
/04
Two-coast access
Trusted agents at Walvis Bay (Atlantic) and Durban (Indian Ocean) give us direct port presence on both oceans.

02 — Mission

Why we exist.

To make Southern African cross-border freight boring.

Southern Africa's freight corridor is one of the most economically important supply chains on the continent. It is also routinely chaotic — beset by border delays, customs inconsistency, document errors, and operators who treat each consignment as a one-off improvisation.

Our ambition is the opposite. To run cargo movements that are predictable, documented, and uneventful in the best sense of the word — so that our clients can plan their operations around our schedules rather than around our excuses.

03 — Trajectory

How we got here.

A decade of corridor work behind the company that exists today.

2014
First moves on the corridor.
Hands-on experience begins. Cross-border freight, customs paperwork, agent relationships — the trade learned where it has to be learned, on the road and at the border post.
2014–2024
A decade of corridor work.
Operations across Zambia, DRC, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Relationships built with port agents, customs brokers, and clearing authorities along the route.
2025
Veteran Resources established.
The operation formalises into a single registered entity — Veteran Resources — bringing freight forwarding, road transport, ocean freight and warehousing under one corporate roof.
2026
205-vehicle operation.
Active fleet of 205 vehicles, three trusted coastal and inland agents (Walvis Bay, Durban, Kolwezi), and operating coverage across five core countries.
04 — Why Veteran

What sets us apart.

Three things that distinguish how we run cargo from how the corridor has historically been run.

01
Two-coast access, no compromises
Most operators commit to one ocean. Trusted agents at both Walvis Bay and Durban let us route on the merits of each cargo — not on the limitations of our network.
02
One operator, one accountable file
Multimodal cargo too often becomes a finger-pointing exercise across three vendors. With Veteran, there's a single owner from origin to POD — and a single bill at the end.
03
Documents before movement
A cleared truck moves. A cargo without papers parks. We don't dispatch until the documentation is right — because the alternative is a load stranded at a border post.
05 — Principles

How we operate.

/A

Paperwork first

A truck without papers is parked. We get the documents right before the cargo moves — not after.

/B

No silent failures

Delays happen on this corridor. Surprises are how clients lose trust. We surface problems early — clients hear bad news from us first.

/C

Local presence, real partners

Our agents at Walvis Bay, Durban and Kolwezi aren't transactional vendors. They're long-term operators we've worked with — and they answer to us.

/D

One operator, one bill

Multimodal cargo too often becomes a finger-pointing exercise. With Veteran, there's one operator from origin to destination — and one bill of accountability.

Whether it's a single container or a long-term contract, we'll quote the lane and run the move.
