1. Who we are

Veteran Resources ("Veteran", "we", "us", "our") is a freight forwarding and logistics company registered and operating in the Republic of Zambia, with its head office in Lusaka.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly when you request a quote, contact us, or track a shipment. This may include: name, company, email address, phone number, cargo details, origin and destination locations, and any information you choose to share in free-text fields.

When you visit this website, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and analytics purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, execute logistics services, send transactional updates relating to your shipments, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations (including customs and tax reporting). We do not use your information to send marketing messages without your consent.

4. Sharing of information

We share information only as required to deliver our services. This includes sharing relevant cargo and contact information with: our coastal and inland agents (Walvis Bay, Durban, Kolwezi); customs and clearing authorities at relevant border posts and ports; subcontracted carriers where applicable; and government authorities where required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise commercialise your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain shipment and commercial records for the periods required by Zambian tax, customs, and commercial law. Inquiry and contact data is retained only as long as necessary to address the inquiry and any reasonable follow-up.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address listed in section 9.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website may use minimal cookies for functional purposes (such as remembering UI preferences). We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no electronic transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
